DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY HELP

While I am more than capable of supporting on offline activity, my background has predominately been in digital.

Having worked with governing bodies and clubs, I have vast experience in creating the right digital strategy to meet your needs. It all begins with understanding your specific goals and objectives and getting a thorough understanding of your organisation. From there, I will pull together all the pieces and deliver a strategy that will allow you to achieve your aforementioned goals and objectives. As part of any delivery of work, workshop(s) can be provided to take the wider organisation through the work.

DUNDEE UNITED DIGITAL AND CONTENT STRATEGY

I worked with SPFL Premiership side Dundee United to create a digital and content strategy for them.

Focus was on understanding more about who their fans are, improving their communication with their fanbase and putting together a content plan with some of the focus on player marketing.

Other areas of the work included website and email marketing review and planning as well as analysis of season ticket holder data.

 

NEW SCOTTISH FA WEBSITE

Working alongside the Head of IT, I managed the successful launch of the new Scottish FA website in December 2017.

This included from designing the site structure, the tender process through to design sign-off, content organisation and population.

SCOTTISH FA DIGITAL AND DATA STRATEGY

During my time at the Scottish FA as Head of Digital Strategy, I created our digital and data strategy.

The main premise of this was how we take all the different internal and external data sources together to improve how we communicate with fans and make insightful decisions.

This required working with internal IT team and wider organisation as well as third-party agencies and stakeholders.

 

GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL APP

I was approached by the grassroots football team with a problem that the rules for grassroots coaches were never reaching them which was causing a whole host of problems for teams.

After being presented with a chunky document that was meant to be available to coaches, I planned and project managed the launch of a new app alongside the development agency. This was the first of its kind for the Scottish FA.

THE OPEN DIGITAL CHANNEL OPTIMISATION

I was brought in on a freelance basis to support The Open team at the R&A for several months while they waited to complete their recruitment process for a Digital Channel Manager.

Work included but not limited to improvements to TheOpen.com and AIGWomensOpen.com, app planning and website data analysis.

 

EMAIL MARKETING MANAGEMENT

At both the Scottish FA and NL Leisure, I developed the email marketing strategy that includes automated welcome and birthday emails, vibrant newsletters as well as implementing a segmented approach.

Email content created includes member updates, birthday emails, fan newsletters, match info emails, sales emails, coaching newsletters, survey emails and club services updates.
